Philip Kane, Artistic Director
Author, poet, artist and storyteller Philip Kane has been active on the Medway arts scene for over thirty years. Among other projects during that time, he has been a community arts worker
for Arts in Medway, and Artistic Director of Storytellers Live – a storytelling club for adults – as well as of the River Roots festival. His newest book is the poetry collection Unauthorised Person (Cultured Llama, 2012).
Emma Dewhurst, Creative Producer
Actress, community arts practitioner, writer and mother, Emma Dewhurst is a passionate lover of the arts and editor of WOW, an arts & entertainment magazine featuring the best of what’s on where in Medway, Maidstone and the accessible beyond. An imprint of the magazine, Greenheart Press, recently launched with the publication of ‘In the House of Ladders’ by Bill Lewis.
Jaye Nolan, Festival Co-ordinator
Jaye Nolan is a prolific writer and blogger who has been championing the rich, diverse culture of Medway for the last three years. Passionate about music and dance, she shouts regularly at the television during reality shows. Her own blogs have been found by numerous PR companies and she was the natural choice to lead the promotion of the festival.
