About Us- LiteraryFestivals.co.uk is a sister site to LiteraryAwards.co. uk and a network covering book awards and festivals in GB, Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand. We are currently tracking several hundred literary festivals and literary awards worldwide
We are not, nor do we claim to be, an official representative of any of the Literary Festivals contained within these pages. We love your work though and hope that we can point a few people in your direction.
If you are involved in a Literary Festival and would like the details listed on this site then please use the template on the Festival Organisers page . There is no charge for a basic listing but we are now offering packages for extended coverage. If we have made an error regarding your festival please, please, please let us know and we will fix-it up immediately. We hope to touch base with you all at some stage to get your blessing, however, if you would like us remove details about your festival from the directory email please.
Festival web sites are fickle things. Outside of the majors, they come, they go , they reappear from the mist like Brigadoon. Whilst we make every effort to ensure accuracy it's a little like herding cats on occasions- so please check out details for yourself as we do not accept responsibility if an error is made for what is after all a free service........ {see terms of use for further clarification if needed}.
About the Site Publisher- Kevin Parker
Kevin Parker (BA, Adv Management Cert, Conflict Resolution Cert), was born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. He was raised in Stevenage and Knebworth. He now moves between the UK and Australia with his extended family living in Cornwall.
Kevin's professional background is as a Campaign Director, university researcher, and as an organiser, lobbyist, and then consultant (natural aging progression) concerned with environmental, peace and social justice issues. He was appointed as an Honorary Fellow at the University of Wollongong. Kevin has also enjoyed success as an award winning private sector business owner in partnership with his wife.
These days he is a full time web designer having been involved in the internet since the late eighties. He is a freelance journalist, dapples in graphic design and occasionally takes a half-decent photo.
In more recent times, his interest in Literary Awards and Literary Festivals exploded from being a hobby to a full-blown obsession. As a result of a sudden rush of blood to the head and a malt whiskey too many, he started publishing, illustrating, designing, programming and providing content for a suite of web sites covering Literary Awards and Festivals throughout the world.
He (above- photo credit Maddi' Parker) comments incessantly on Literary Awards and Festivals at his Book Award Tragic blog. He is seeking professional help regarding his obsession but nobody really wants to listen - even if he's paying.
Together with his wife Maddi', their four young children, nine chickens and several possums in the roof, he dwells in an old house set on a delightfully wildish acre - at least that's what he tells friends and neighbours who reckon he should just garden more. He also has a has a grown-up son. He recently resigned from the Zero-Population Growth Coalition - much to their relief.

Miscellaneous Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
These Terms, including all terms, conditions and policies that are incorporated into these terms by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and SANE EARTH, and govern your use of our sites, superceding any prior agreements that you may have with us.
These Terms shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, and the parties irrevocably consent to bring any action to enforce these Terms before an arbitration panel or before a court of competent jurisdiction in NSW, Australia, if seeking interim or preliminary relief or enforcement of an arbitration award.
If any part of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the Terms shall continue in effect.
