Fiona is the author of 10 top-selling romantic comedy novels. Focusing on the joys and frustrations of everyday family life, her books have gained her a loyal and enthusiastic following. She is currently published by Avon, an imprint of Harper Collins. From July 2016 Fiona launches a new three-book Avon series, starting with The Bookshop on Rosemary Lane, writing as Ellen Berry.
As a children’s author, writing as Fiona Foden, Fiona has published four novels for the 9-12 age range with Scholastic. She has also written a parenting memoir, The Fish Finger Years (Hodder), about the chaotic early parenting years, and is working on a follow-up about the teenage stage.
As a teenager herself, Fiona started her writing career on the beloved teen bible Jackie magazine. She went on to edit Just Seventeen, Bliss and more! magazines, when the latter was at its peak, selling up to 500,000 copies a fortnight. She invented more!’s infamous ‘Position of the Fortnight’ column and has never been allowed to forget it.
After the birth of her twin sons, Fiona started to write novels and now lives in Glasgow with her husband Jimmy, their daughter and an affectionate collie cross called Jack. A prolific journalist, Fiona has written for most UK magazines including Red, Marie Claire, Elle, Prima, Sainsbury’s magazine and Grazia, as well as the Guardian, Telegraph, Observer and Sunday Herald.
