The Royal African Society’s third Africa Writes festival comes to the British Library showcasing the best established and rising literary talent from Africa and its diaspora. With book launches, readings, discussions, performances, workshops and seminars, this festival illuminates an area of literature that deserves much wider coverage. Great initiative.
Celebrating its 5th year, Africa Writes 2016 will bring together over 50 authors, poets, publishers and experts for a stimulating and exciting three days! Save 1-3 July in your diary for a rich and vibrant programme of book launches, panel discussions, performances, workshops, and an international book fair. This year, we focus on new writing, women’s writing, and the idea of disruptive stories (across borders, and boundaries of age, sex and gender)
