Soho Literary Festival, sponsored by onestop4:insurance, returns to the capital this September, mark..
2014 saw 36 events scheduled in total, with the inimitable Steven Fry speaking on comic writer PG Wodehouse, 'the most industrious, prolific and beneficent author ever to have sat down, scratched his head and banged out a sentence'. Giles Coren, Rachel Johnson, Ian Hislop, Michel Roux, Antonia Fraser and Russell Norman are also among the distinguished speakers.
Past Festivals? Soho Literary Festival has attracted some impressive names in the past; last year saw the one off event The Betrayal of Oscar Wilde, an open discussion between Oscar Wilde's grandson Merlin Holland, actor Rupert Everett and Sir David Hare. Further speakers included Lionel Shriver, Ruby Wax, Quentin Blake and Soho stalwarts such as the Private Eye team celebrating Private Eye Cartoons and Craig Brown, A N WIlson & Co with their sellout show Comedy & Parody.
