Previous festivals: The 2008 Book and Media Festival celebrated it's sixth year, and was just as succesful and popular as always. Featuring a diverse and dynamic programme of author events, workshops, poetry and spoken word events there was something to suit all ages and tastes. Highlights included author talks with literary legends Meera Syal, Andrew Motion and David Lodge as well as comedy from Shazia Mirza in her unforgettable Curry and Comedy Night.
