2014 Festival SummaryRUGBY legend Eddie Butler and crime writer Harry Bingham are amongst the line-up for the 2014 Penarth Book Festival.
Journalist, commentator and former Welsh rugby player, Eddie Butler, will be talking about his new novel ‘The Head of Gonzo Davies’, his career and will take part in a Q&A session.
Crime writer Harry Bingham will talk about his ‘Fiona Griffiths’ series of crime novels.
Other names include extreme athlete Richard Parks, who’ll talk about his new book ‘Beyond The Horizon’, his extreme challenges and inspirations.
Adele Nozedar will talk about her love for British sweets and demonstrate how to make them at home, and there will be exclusive screenings of literary themed films at Penarth Pier Pavilion.
The Festival will take place at various venues across Penarth from October 13 – 19.
There will be children’s events on Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, with a visit from Fireman Sam, a children’s writing workshop with 'Rugby Zombies' and 'Steve’s Dreams' author Dan Anthony, and a activity workshop with ‘Hattie Peck’ author Emma Levey.
