Morley Literature Festival

What? In its 5th year, the Morley Literature Festival has been growing in strength as it pulls in the larger names in literature, but keeping a local feel with authors from the area. Literary lunches, creative writing workshops and a local history programme for schools make the festival an important event in the North’s festival lists.

Who? Barbara Taylor Bradford, Iain M Banks, Will Self, John Shuttleworth, Gervase Phinn, Robin Ince, Blake Morrison and Toby Litt.

When? 2011 Saturday 8th and Sunday 16th October 2011.

Where? . Morley is just south of the city of Leeds in West Yorkshire. A market town with a strong local identity, Morley has been a settlement for over a thousand years and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. It became a borough in 1886 and a district of Leeds in 1974.| AA Route Planner | multimap
