Morely Arts Festival (formerly Morley Literature Festival)

The Morley Literature Festival has now morphed in to the Morely Arts Festival. The literary stream pulls in the larger names in literature whilst keeping a local feel with authors from the area.

Literary lunches, creative writing workshops and a local history programme for schools make the festival an important event in the North’s festival lists.

When? September 23rd -October 9th, 2016

Where? Morley is just south of the city of Leeds in West Yorkshire. A market town with a strong local identity, Morley has been a settlement for over a thousand years and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. It became a borough in 1886 and a district of Leeds in 1974.

How much? Headline events should cost between £6 and £8 with concessions for children, students and senior citizens
