The Giant has Awoken! Manchester Literature Festival, under the direction of former Cathy Bolton and Co-Directors Sarah-Jane Roberts & Jon Atkin put together a fine programme for 2014 which put Manchester up there amongst the best in the country. Back for a 3rd outing in 2016.
The Commissioning Programme is at the heart of what makes Manchester Literature Festival distinctive and sets it apart from many of the other book festivals around the country. It supports the City’s cultural profile at the heart of original modern thinking and feeds the considerable appetite amongst cultural consumers looking for new experiences. That's what we like here at Literary Festivals UK, literary festivals adopting a persona deeply imbued in their own local cultural and literary traditon whilst celebrating regional talent.
