Taking place once a month, the World Literature Series explore contemporary literature from around the world, with writers and translators as our guides.
Events feature Anglophone writers in conversation with international writers with whom they have a particular friendship or bond. The Insights into Cultures strand offer insights into life in a particular country and culture through the prism of a contemporary writer.
The art of literary translation is at the heart of World Literature series at the London Review Bookshop. The ever popular Live Translation events are back: two translators go head to head with their versions of a text, with the author present, bringing to light the nuances and variations and the very inner workings of the translation process.
