Organised by the Guernsey Arts Council the first ever Guernsey Literary Festival took place in 2011.
Of course, the inaugural gathering would not have been complete without the author of the The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Annie Barrows (left)! Other featured authors have included Louis de Bernieres, and Michael Morpurgo.
It seems that the organisers have opted to go a biennial format with the next event scheduled for 2014.
