The Festival of Stories is a brand new event coming to Lytham in May 2014 for children, teenagers and families. For two days, the playing fields at Park View in Lytham will be transformed into a series of tented venues, which will play host to events, activities and spectacles celebrating books, storytelling and the power of imagination, with the aim of:
• inspiring children and parents in the Lytham area to express themselves creatively
• encouraging intergenerational relationships in the community through storytelling
• building confidence and encouraging communication
A schools programme is also planned to take place preceding the event with children from nursery age to Year 9 at secondary school. More information on our schools programme will be available in 2014.
