Dorchester Literary Festival The Dorchester Literary Festival enjoys it's inaugural event in 2015.
Picturesque Dorchester and the unspoiled countryside and dramatic coastal scenery surrounding it has inspired many of Britain’s best loved writers, including Thomas Hardy, T E Lawrence, William Barnes, Ian McEwan and Tracy Chevalier.
The programme includes sessions focused on the latest novels, new biographies, recent books on history, art, politics and the natural world, or attend workshops on writing and publishing your own work.
The festival’s main events will be held in the grand hall of the County Museum, a quirky Victorian building filled with a fascinating collection of exhibits to enjoy.

Where? Dorchester County Museum, situated in the heart of the picturesque county town that dates back to Roman times. Our main events will be held in the spectacular Victorian Gallery, which was built in 1883 with arches of fine cast iron work inspired by the Great Exhibition
