The Breckland Book Festival has been running for three years. First started in October 2011, the aim is to bring highly accredited authors both nationally and locally to Breckland market towns.
Across the Festival a range of authors, writers, poets and performers will visit libraries in Attleborough, Dereham, Swaffham, Thetford and Watton in Norfolk.
This gives the opportunity for communities to come and see range of events for all ages at an affordable level.
While the Festival promotes cultural and social activity in Breckland it also supports local libraries as community spaces.
Families can come and be inspired by the eclectic mix of workshops, discussions and live performances that will help children and young adults become more involved in the creative arts.
The Festival is still in its infancy but it’s been growing in popularity and notoriety every year. With Breckland Book Festival 2014 we hope to continue this legacy.
