Each September this festival includes lectures, readings and performance, celebrating the verbal arts, and the legacy of Benedict Kiely who passed away in 2007 at the age of 87.

The 13th Benedict Kiely Literary Weekend 2014 took place from Friday 12th September - Sunday 14th September in Strule Arts Centre, Omagh.
