It would be hard to find a greater contrast with the capital than the Ayots, which are picture post card pretty, comprising mostly 18th century cottages clustered around a tranquil tree lined village green, with lush lanes beyond.
Visitors to the Ayots have been heard to comment that they feel like they have walked onto the set of an Agatha Christie film.

Where? In the marquee on Ayot Green.The Ayots, as Ayot Green and Ayot St Peter are collectively known, are just off the A1(M), some 25 miles north of central London. London Kings Cross is less than 30 minutes away by train from nearby Welwyn Garden City.
