The Aspects Irish Literature Festival is a festival with a long history and proud pedigree, dedicated to celebrating the best of Irish writing in a variety of areas and styles.
Established in 1991 under the Directorship of Kenneth Irvine (now the Festival Director Emeritus), the festival has taken place annually each September showcasing all the biggest names of Irish Literature, as well as up and coming talent and friends of the festival from further afield whose work is of interest.
Notable visitors over the years have included Seamus Heaney, Colin Bateman, Roddy Doyle, Maeve Binchy, Fergal Keane, Paul Muldoon, Michael Longley, Derek Mahon, John Banville, Colm Toibin and Jennifer Johnston, to name a few. Aspects events frequently sell out so early booking is advisable.
