Laurie was first published at the advanced age of 40 and is the author of 19 novels. In 2019 the changing face of big house publishing forced her, along with many other mid-list writers, to publish independently. A former Daily Telegraph columnist, she is now an occasional contributor to the Daily Mail, the Spectator, and Slightly Foxed.
