Who?      WORDS in WALDEN  2011 

Favourite children's author, JAMES MAYHEW, will raffle the paintings he produces on stage at our concert for children on Sunday 16th October. Don't miss your chance to enjoy a wonderful programme of stories, music and pictures for adults and children in this new collaboration between James and the Uttlesforde Orchestra AND take home an original work of art. The raffle proceeds will go to the East Anglia Children's Hospices.

Several other festival events will also be a treat for both adults and children: sports personality ALASTAIR HIGNELL will inspire sportsmen and women, whether their sporting careers are ahead or behind them; STUART CLARK will enthral everyone with his stories of the world's greatest astronomers and their discoveries;
HUGH HUGHES' hilarious recounting of a childhood adventure will charm and entertain anyone who can look back to their own childhood; JAMES HERRIOT's son's tales of his father's days as a student vet will inspire a new generation of young vets; and award-winning children's writer, DAVID ALMOND, whose first book, Skellig, has sold half a million copies, talks about his new venture into writing for an older audience.
