Biography Nick Thom

In his day job, Nick Thom is a civil engineer, currently lecturing at the University of Nottingham on the subjects of Highway, Railway and Airfield Engineering. He has co-authored two text books, one on concrete roads, the other a more general work on highway/airfield engineering.

However, to keep sane, he has taken a broader interest in some of the deep mysteries of the earth. His fascination with languages is a long-standing one, as is his interest in ancient history and archaeology. The combination of these interests with the problem-solving ability of an engineer has led to his applying himself to a range of non-engineering problems. ‘The Origin of Tongues’ is not so much a book on languages as an investigation into the ancient human past, using language as evidence, but applying that evidence is a new and revolutionary way. The findings presented in ‘History Rewritten are equally revolutionary, and equally at odds with convention. This time, the mystery tackled is the apparent mismatch between the history told in the pages of the Bible and traditional ancient history

As for his current project, ‘The Great Flood’, he promises that it will be his most dramatic revelation yet.
